Shoga Gohan – Ginger Rice

Ingredients

[Serves 2]

• 300 grams Rice
• 300 grams Water
• 60 grams Ginger
• 1 bag Dashi Pack (Any)
• 36 grams Light Soy Sauce
• 30 grams Cooking Sake
• Sliced Green Onion for garnish

Rinse the rice thoroughly. After rinsing, add water to the pot so that the total weight of rice and added water together is 600g. Let it soak for 30 minutes.

Julienne the ginger.

Add the ginger to Step 1, then start cooking the rice using either a rice cooker or a pot.

Once cooked, remove the dashi packet, gently mix in the sliced green onion, and it's ready.
